I was and there was definitely alot I missed out on...I wish I could go back to high school and relive it again, knowing what I know now.
ok, who remembers all those long prayers?
especially at the district conventions!.
we had our convetions at a small hockey arena and the stairs were really steep.
God Yes!
There was this very old brother and they asked him to do the prayer alot (I guess cause of his age). YOu could never understand what he was saying, and he always took forever. I swear I once fell asleep halfway through the prayer!
ok funny question....i have a friend who used to get to the meeting drunk as a skunk sometimes and he'd play it off nicely.
i do know of a couple of times he came stoned too.
anyone here ever do that, or knew someone who did??

sorry this is a little late for a memorial post, but did any of ya'll eat the emblems like it was just ordinary food immediately after the memorial?
they always did this at my kh, even the elders would be handing it out and we always would fight over who got a piece of the "bread.
" this usually occured out in the parking lot after most of the new/interested people had already high tailed it outta there.
My Dad was an elder, so we would take the wine home all the time, and yes we always drank that night!! It was good...
what are people's experiences here of jw's who let their kids play sports and the consequences for them?.
for instance did you know any kids who played little league or high school football or basketball?.
any canadiens who allowed their children to play hockey at any of the levels?.
This policy sucked.
I was good at football, our high school coach would always be on me to try out for the team, but I never got to play....I hated it!
Now my brother is going through the same thing
i just wanted to introduce myself and tell everyone that i have enjoyed many of the posts.
i wish that this resource was available 7 years ago when i walked away from the organization, it would have helped my transition a great deal.
i also wanted to say that it is enjoyable to come to a forum that is not on an angry rant about the organization on a constant basis.
Welcome to the forum,
Most of us are here for the support and Im glad it has reached someone else. Best of luck to you and hope to see more posts from you!
